01 / 22
The gate
Palms and Tuscan arches mark the entrance to Gran Paradiso in Wellen Park. Pass through the gate and the neighborhood opens up around you.
-

02 / 22
Arrival
Drive through the gate and the clubhouse is right there, its arched tower entry rising above a circular drive. Neighbors who’ve lived here for years still feel it every time they pull in. Parking: a larger lot sits beside the clubhouse, with a smaller lot near the courts.
-

03 / 22
Step inside
Columns, a coffered dome and walls of tall windows make the clubhouse’s grand gathering room the first thing that takes your breath away.
-

04 / 22
The tower entry
Up close, the tower’s stone-trimmed arches and warm stucco set the Tuscan-inspired tone for everything inside.
-

05 / 22
The loggia & pool pergola
From the side parking lot, you step into a loggia. Turn right through the pool gate and walk under this columned pergola to the main pool, or keep straight to reach the main gallery.
-

06 / 22
The main gallery & management office
Stone floors and dark wood lead down the clubhouse’s main gallery, home to the onsite management office, the place to go for community management questions.
-

07 / 22
The library
A quiet library lounge with comfortable seating and warm light — made for settling in with a good book.
-

08 / 22
Covered walkways
Tuscan-style covered walkways lead from the main gallery around the pool, with arches framing the water as you go.
-

09 / 22
Billiards & card room
The first building along the walkway holds the billiards and card room, a classic spot for a game with neighbors. It can be reserved for private parties.

Party & gathering room
Next door to the billiards and card room, the first building also holds a separate party room, with a folding partition wall that lets it open wide or close off. It can be reserved for private parties.
-

11 / 22
Fitness center
At the end of the walkway, the fitness center’s full workout gym is open 24 hours with a resident key card.
-

12 / 22
Aerobics room
Mirrored walls and tall arched windows give the fitness building’s separate aerobics room a bright space of its own for classes and stretching.
-

13 / 22
Fitness atrium
A domed rotunda with warm stone floors makes a graceful entrance to the fitness wing.
-

14 / 22
Locker rooms, showers & massage
Separate men’s and women’s locker rooms, each with showers, a private steam room and a sauna, make it easy to work out, swim or unwind. Private massage rooms on both sides can be scheduled, too.

Showers -

15 / 22
Sauna
Each locker room also has its own private dry sauna, a little everyday luxury after a workout.
-

16 / 22
Steam room
Men’s and women’s locker rooms each have their own private steam room, a warm, quiet reset after a workout or a swim, and a rare amenity in the Venice area.
-

17 / 22
Outdoor fireplace lounge
Out the back of the fitness building, a covered lounge with an outdoor fireplace, table tennis and seating opens right onto the pool deck.
-

18 / 22
Sunning patio & spa
Through the gate, a sunning patio leads you between the resort pool and a semi-secluded spa, perfect for a warm soak.
-

19 / 22
Resort-style pool
The heated resort-style pool, with zero-entry access, fountains and an umbrella-shaded deck, is made for long Florida afternoons. A separate restroom building serves pool-goers.
-

20 / 22
Evenings at the pool
As the sun sets, the pool and clubhouse light up — the view that gives Gran Paradiso its evening glow.
-

21 / 22
Playground
Just outside the pool area, next to the parking lot, a shaded playground with a slide and swings gives visiting grandkids their own spot.
-

22 / 22
Tennis & pickleball
Pickleball and tennis are big in Gran Paradiso. The lighted courts sit beside the clubhouse and lake, so games go from morning into the evening.
The route runs from the arrival and main gallery, along the covered walkways to the fitness center, then out to the pool and the courts. A full-time activity director keeps the calendar full.
Hours, programs and amenity rules can change — for the current details, search Ask Eric or visit the onsite management office in the clubhouse’s main gallery.
